Compassion First (CF) was founded in August of 2007 to discover how it could best serve survivors of child sexual trafficking. It was our specific desire to work in countries or regions not already served by other care providers.
As of now, CF’s primary operations for aftercare are provided through Sarah’s House, CF’s aftercare transitional center in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Sarah’s House is a 24-hour secure, staffed facility that is operated by Compassion First Indonesia. The home opened May of 2010 and received its first client in August of 2010. The program within the home is completely funded and operated by CF.
Program expansions came with our Cemetery Outreach in East Java, Indonesia in 2013 and partnership with Safety Compass, serving adult trafficking survivors in Oregon, in 2016. We are currently raising funds to open a second aftercare shelter for child trafficking survivors in East Java.
We are proud to partner with one of the amazing missionaries who focuses on developing long-term holistic aftercare programs for child survivors of sex trafficking in Southeast Asia.
